The relevance of this topic is determined by the fact that laboratory animals are widely used in experimental morphology. most ones rats [1 - 7]. There a number studies which authors cover detail normal morphological state various organs and its changes under experimentally simulated pathological conditions [8 12]. available on rats’ musculoskeletal system spine highlight insufficiently. Aim. We aimed to study structure thoracic lumbar vertebrae rats. Materials methods research. objects our were 15 sexually mature outbred male rats, weight 80 g, age 4,5 months. All kept vivarium. Formation of the vertebral arches of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar vertebrae in early human foetuses.

Fusion of the neural arches was studied in 6 serially sectioned human foetuses aged 9 and 10 weeks. In foetuses of 9 weeks, the completion of arches was observed in the cervical, upper thoracic, and middle thoracic regions of the vertebral column. During the 10th week of development, fusion of neural processes progresses in the lower thoracic and upper three lumbar vertebrae.
